APPLICATION CODE: GIZ M&E 2025 – Alumni Internship Application

 

GIZ International Services is seeking a highly motivated one (1) Monitoring and Evaluation Intern eager to develop essential skills in information management, monitoring and evaluation of results and impact, and supporting the automation of reporting systems.

You will work for the eunite Programme, implemented by GIZ and funded by the European Union.   Its main goal is to bring the island closer together by fostering economic cooperation, improving public health and food safety and helping businesses grow in line with EU standards. The programme offers farmers, producers, SMEs and entrepreneurs opportunities to access expert knowledge, tailored assistance, and financial support.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

• The person will work in close collaboration with the Business Innovation Coordinator and will be provided with mentoring and support.

• The key aim of the role is to support an ongoing process of transformation, focusing on change and automation of our monitoring, evaluation, and reporting systems.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the eunite Management Information System (MS PowerApps) 

• Conduct timely data input, verification, analysis, and reconciliation 

• Assist in setting up, developing, and transferring new data and reports to the MIS 

• Reconcile previous records into the new MIS framework 

• Collaborate with eunite team members to embed new systems and processes 

• Identify areas for improvement and recommend refinements 

• The person will also be expected to work closely with the Programme Coordinator and other members of the team to ensure accuracy of data and information. The key tasks provided above are not intended to be an exhaustive list.

 

 

Candidate Profile

• Being an EUSP alumni from one of the past three academic years (2022/23, 2023/24, or 2024/25)— applications from non-alumni will not be considered

•  Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel 

• Experience in computer software, tools and technologies including data input and verification

• Team player demonstrating a positive attitude and enjoy working collaboratively within a team

• Open to learning new things and a commitment to professional and personal growth and development

• Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing including clear and concise report writing

Internship Period & Conditions

• Internship period: Minimum two months within late June to August 20251

• Working hours: 4 to 6 weeks; 20 hours/week

• Location: eunite Programme Office  and eunite Business Hive, Nicosia

• Remuneration: This is a paid internship.

• Certificate: Official “EU Scholarship Programme Internship Completion Certificate” upon completion
