APPLICATION CODE: EUPSO 2025 – Alumni Internship Application

The EU Programme Support Office (EUPSO) of the European Commission is offering a summer internship opportunity for three (3) dedicated alumni of the EU Scholarship Programme. The selected interns will work at EUPSO, closely following the work of the European Commission, particularly in the implementation of the Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community. This call is open exclusively to EUSP Alumni.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the priorities of EUPSO, namely the implementation of the Aid Programme for the Turkish Cypriot community and the “Green Line” Regulation

Following the work and shadowing dedicated programme managers in three of EUPSO’s sections

Participating in meetings and events on issues related to the Cyprus settlement and drafting notes from these gatherings

Taking part in project visits with programme managers

Writing notes and background papers on the Cyprus settlement and other politically relevant issues for EUPSO

 

 

Candidate Profile

Being an EUSP alumni from one of the past three academic years (2022/23, 2023/24, or 2024/25); applications from non-alumni will not be considered

Current bachelor’s or master’s student, preferably studying in fields such as Communications, International Relations, Political Science, European Union Studies, Law, Development Studies, History, Sociology, Peace and Conflict Studies, or Economics

Strong organisational and research skill

Detail-oriented and accountable

Proficient in MS Office

Able to work both independently and collaboratively with a positive attitude

Open to learning, with a commitment to professional and personal development

Excellent written and spoken communication skills in both Turkish and English

Internship Period & Conditions

Internship period: 30 June – 25 July (4 weeks)

Working hours: 20 hours per week

Location EU Programme Support Office in Nicosia

Remuneration: This is a paid internship.

Certificate: Official “EU Scholarship Programme Internship Completion Certificate” upon completion
