APPLICATION CODE: CIVIC SPACE 2026 – Alumni Internship Application

 

Civic Space is recruiting two (2) interns to join its team for a summer internship. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to actively contribute to Civic Space’s ongoing initiatives and gain hands-on experience in the field of civil society support and development.

 

The intern will support the implementation of project and office activities, including administrative tasks, communication, event organisation, research, data collection, and reporting. The intern will work closely with the team, contribute to ongoing projects, and gain practical experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, and organisational operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·      Assist with daily administrative and project-related tasks.

·      Support the organisation of meetings, events, and workshops.

·      Assist with communication and outreach activities.

·      Support data entry, documentation, and reporting processes.

·      Assist in coordinating office supplies and equipment maintenance.

·      Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

 

Candidate Profile:

  • Being an EUSP alumni from one of the past three academic years (2023/24, 2024/25, or 2025/26)— applications from non-alumni will not be considered.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Experience in computer software, tools and technologies an advantage.

·      Team player demonstrating a positive attitude and enjoy working collaboratively within a team.

·      Open to learning new things and a commitment to professional and personal growth and development.

·      Strong communication skills and good command of Turkish and English.

·       Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

·      Interest in project management, civil society, community development, or related fields.

Internship Period & Conditions:

·      Internship period: Minimum two months within late June, July, and August 2026

·      Working hours: 20 hours per week

·      Location: Civic Space Office, Nicosia

·      Remuneration: This is a paid internship (300 euros per month)

·      Certificate: Official “EU Scholarship Programme Internship Completion Certificate” upon completion.
