APPLICATION CODE: GIZ PC&C 2026 – Alumni Internship Application
GIZ International Services is seeking one (1) highly motivated Programme Coordination & Communication Intern who is eager to develop skills in EU programme development, communication, visibility and engagement, research, and report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
The person will work in close collaboration with the i) Programme Coordination and ii) Communication Teams and will be provided with mentoring and support.
The key aim of the role is to support a Programme Coordination related structures as well as communication and engagement aspects of the eunite programme. This is an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in shaping impactful events and supporting meaningful outreach efforts.
Key Tasks include:
- Consolidating and reviewing research, and preparing concise summaries of data and information to inform programme design and development
- Supporting stakeholder engagement by assisting with event preparations and related documentation (e.g., presentations, minutes, invitations and follow‑up actions)
- Supporting development of programme concept notes, presentations or other relevant information
- Contributing to the development of new activities or improvement of ongoing actions in collaboration with team members
The person will be expected to work closely with the i) Programme Coordination and ii) Communication Teams to ensure quality support and information flow. The key tasks provided above are not intended to be an exhaustive list.
Candidate Profile
- Being an EUSP alumni from one of the past three academic years (2023/24, 2024/25, or 2025/26) — applications from non-alumni will not be considered.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Experience in computer software, tools and technologies an advantage
- Team player demonstrating a positive attitude and enjoy working collaboratively within a team
- Open to learning new things and a commitment to professional and personal growth and development
- Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing including clear and concise report writing

Internship Period & Conditions:
- Internship period: Minimum two months within late June, July, and August 2026
- Working hours: 20 hours per week
- Location: eunite Programme Office and eunite Business Hive, Nicosia
- Remuneration: This is a paid internship (300 euros per month)
- Certificate: Official “EU Scholarship Programme Internship Completion Certificate” upon completion.
